Provides free employment services to ex-offenders and persons who have difficulty finding and maintaining employment, and to St. Louis area businesses who are seeking qualified job applicants.

Services include outreach/recruitment, assessment, employment readiness training, on-site education, individual case management, job development, job placement, job retention, temp to direct hire, managed staffing services, career development, and follow-up services.

It is a requirement of the program that you attend a three day World of Work seminar after completing orientation. Orientation sessions are held every Friday at 12:30 PM. Both orientation and the World of Work seminar are held at 2838 Market Street, just west of Jefferson.

Employment Connection has a pilot program for New Americans seeking employment. The New Americans should be able to read and write on an 8th grade level. Orientation is tomorrow (Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at 2:00 PM) at Employment Connection 2838 Market St. Louis, MO 63103. This pilot program has a mentor component. The services are provided free.

The BEGIN Training & Education Center (BTEC) is an innovative educational program providing various training courses with a wrap-around network of social support services.
For many St. Patrick Center clients, the first step will include completing an on-site 12-week fast-track GED program prior to advancing to a training program. Emphasis is placed on collaboration with employer partners that provide practical application and experience, as well as industry certifications.
